AnchorBay announced the availability of a new product designed to be used with bamboo and hardwood flooring. These eco–friendly bamboo tiles are available in several colors. For additional information, see the press release below.

Chandler, AZ (PRWEB) January 22, 2010 – Chandler, AZ January 22, 2010 – Announcing a great way to complement bamboo flooring and hardwood flooring installations. Leading online tile supplier, AnchorBayTile.com, is pleased to announce the availability of a new collection of subway tiles made from real bamboo. This Bamboo Subway Tile collection is available in four colors in a 3” x 6” size and is made from real bamboo that is harvested at maturity between 5.5 to 6 years in a sustainable manner.

“We are proud to offer our customers our new line of Bamboo Subway Tile which was designed in–house by our team of product designers,” said Steve Khan, founder and president of AnchorBayTile.com. “Our interior designer and architect customers have been asking us for some time for a product made from green and sustainable materials. It took over one year of product development for our bamboo tile collection but the effort has clearly been worth it.”

The bamboo tile collection from AnchorBayTile is designed as a wall tile for kitchen backsplashes, wainscoting, or accent walls and also is an excellent complement to bamboo flooring or hardwood flooring installations. Bamboo flooring has been a very popular product for flooring installations for many years but up until now there has not been a complimentary bamboo tile product made for use on walls.

Khan also pointed out that “bamboo is considered a rapidly renewable material by the U.S. Green Building Council largely because bamboo is known to grow up to 47 inches in 24 hours and as much as 78 feet high in 40 – 50 days.”

The bamboo tile collection is available in four contemporary colors with coordinating trim and decorative pieces and is well suited for interior dry areas in residential applications such as kitchen backsplashes and wainscoting and in commercial applications such as restaurant accent walls and hospitality environments.
