When it comes to being "green", Quick–Step® laminate wood and tile floors deliver. As part of Mohawk’s
GreenWorks
program, 78% of Quick–Step® laminate floors come from post–industrial (pre-consumer) waste that, most likely,
would’ve ended up in a landfill. In addition, any wood waste that is leftover from the laminate manufacturing process is
reused as bio-mass fuel in Mohawk’s factories. Any rejected laminate boards are also reused in Mohawk’s laminate or
chipboard factories, or by other third parties.
As an added benefit, Quick–Step®’s glue-less laminate flooring installation results in fewer Volatile Organic
Compounds (VOCs) being released during and after installation, making for a kid friendly and allergy friendly floor. The end
result is a healthier Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) in your home or business.
When you are tired of your old flooring and wish for something new, rather than throwing them "away" (in a landfill), you
can simply unclick your Quick–Step® laminate wood or tile floors and reinstall them in another room or home. If you no
longer have use for them, you local community center will most likely be able to reuse the laminate planks somewhere in your
community.
Next time you are looking to install a green flooring alternative to hardwood, ceramic tile, or stone tile, look no
further than Quick–Step® laminate wood and tile floors. For more information on Quick–Step® green
