Hawa Bamboo and Wood Products

The founders of Hawa Bamboo and Wood Products started with a mission to help reduce the dependence on timber resources by producing sustainable harvested bamboo flooring. Before expanding into the manufacturing of hardwood floors, the original flooring product range was confined to bamboo floors. Within a relatively short period of time Hawa was able to establish a vast distribution network throughout the U.S. The company's US corporate office and warehouse was established in 1999 in Sayerville, New Jersey, NJ.

In 2003 bamboo flooring was complemented with importing of white oak hardwood floors. Hawa bought controlling interest in a new flooring business near the Russian border to produce over 5 million square feet of solid and engineered white oak flooring annually. More recently the product range has expanded to include distressed Maple and Exotic wood flooring with natural grain stained in rich colors. The wood for exotic flooring is imported to their Chinese factory at Chenzhou from South America. Here it is treated and processed into boards for re–export.

Hawa's pre–finished exotic solid wood flooring is made of a solid piece of wood with all four sides’ precision–milled. The planks are finished with a coat of high wearing UV cured Acrylic Urethane Aluminum oxide base with a Polyurethane top coat for increased wear–resistance and added protection. Varieties available are Brazilian Teak, Brazilian Cherry, Kempas, Tigerwood and Santos Mahogany.
