EcoDomo, LLC., was founded in 2005 with the intention of producing high-design, renewable and eco-friendly products. Its showroom is in Rockville, Maryland, and sales are supported through a nationwide sales network. The company’s specialty is leather surfacing, and working with recycled leather and hides. Consequently the first collection it released was leather recycled tiles. EcoDomo is committed to products that surpass market standards, are environmentally–friendly and contribute to the communities where they emanate. EcoDomo has established a global complex of manufacturers and artisans in its pursuit of innovative products.

The company’s leather tiles can be used as coverings in both commercial and residential establishments. Whole Foods and Starbucks are among their client list. The tiles are produced in a range of sizes up to 24” x 24”. It is also available in sheets of width 44” and 55”. These tiles are offered as hide leather and recycled leather. Recycled leather tiles, made with a minimum of 65% post recycled waste, are more durable when used as floor covering.

Some of the common applications of leather tiles are:

  • Leather Panels for wall applications
  • Wrapping handrails or trims
  • Wrapping entire furniture pieces or bars
  • Floor coverings in areas not susceptible to moisture

For installation, EcoDomo produces contact cement adhesives with low volatile Organic Compound (VOC). Installation is similar to a cork floor, requiring a brief acclimation period. Some tiles are available in self–adhesive form. Maintenance is relatively easy, much like that for a hardwood floor.

LEED® – EcoComo recycled leather tiles are eligible for LEED credits.
