You can add décor to any room in your home by using 100% natural sisal and wool sisal rugs. Adding sisal area rugs will not only help to decorate your room, but will also help to protect your floor covering underneath at the same time. Sisal rugs work great in just about any room and are commonly used as kitchen area rugs and bathroom rugs.

Natural sisal rugs are made with sisal fibers which come from the leaves of the ‘agave sisalana’ plant which is a type of cactus. Most sisal fibers come from semi–arid regions such as Africa and Brazil. Sisal fibers grow up to 3 feet long and are extremely strong, in fact, stronger than most other natural carpet fibers. 100% natural sisal is also a sustainable resource, making it green carpet fiber choice.

Sisal wool is usually made with a mix of 60% wool fibers and 40% sisal fibers bringing you the durability of sisal with the comfort of wool. These rugs usually look like sisal rugs and have their woven texture, but have the soft feel of wool underfoot. Both wool and sisal are sustainable carpet choices, making these rugs a green carpet choice.

You can find 100% natural sisal fiber rugs and sisal wool rugs in various sizes ranging from under 2x3 square feet to over 12x15 square feet. You can also find several different shapes including standard rectangle, square, octagon, and round sisal rugs.

I really like the idea of eco-friendly shades, I bet they really cost effective as well as good for the environment. I wonder if you have heard anything about Eco friendly laminate flooring. A lot of my friends are currently remodeling their homes and they are trying to buy all things Eco friendly and I am sure they would love to have Eco friendly laminate flooring....

Great question about eco-friendly laminate. I'm one of the writers here at FindAnyFloor. There are several possibilities to help make laminate flooring more eco- friendly. Because it's more than I can write in a comment I'm going to go ahead and write a blog on this topic. Be sure to check it out in the next day or so!
