Arizona Tile

Arizona Tile was founded in 1977 by John Huarte, a Notre Dame University graduate who later became a professional football player. It started in humble beginnings as a modest tile store in San Diego. Arizona Tile now has 25 branches in 7 western states with products for both commercial and residential applications.

Arizona Tile breaks away from the norm and seeks to deal in only the most unusual and extraordinary tiles which it sources from all over the globe. It has established contacts with quarries worldwide through which it offers a diverse product range of granite, travertine, slate, onyx, limestone and marble. Arizona Tile also deals in medallions, porcelain tiles and unique tile design creations. The company proudly claims that some of their products are so unique and so stunningly beautiful as to be unavailable elsewhere on the planet. The company has a policy of an on–going search to augment their vast product range.

Currently Arizona Tile imports over 230 varieties of marble, granite, travertine, limestone slate and onyx slabs and tiles. This vast selection ranks the company as one of the largest independently–owned importers of stone in the United States. Apart from their stock that exceeds 40 varieties of glass and porcelain tiles, some of the lines are exclusive to Arizona Tile.

The company is stringent about the quality of its imports. Every batch of stone is minutely examined for product integrity, color value, thickness, cracks, slab size, surface markings and quality of polish. These are the main areas of inspection but there are others too numerous to mention.

The porcelain products undergo a similar inflexible quality control procedure which includes both human and automated inspection using some state–of–the–art inspection techniques. Every container is subjected to detailed examination to ensure consistency of product.

To make certain of a consistently high quality from suppliers, the company has opened offices in Brazil, Italy, China and the Czech Republic. These are manned by highly skilled personnel in stone and porcelain markets who undertake new product development, sourcing new vendors, procurement, quality control and shipping.

Arizona Tile products are used in both commercial and residential applications. The company also offers a range of stone cleaning, sealing, polishing and stain removing products.
