Different types of interlocking rubber flooring tilesWhen installing flooring, it doesn’t get much easier than installing interlocking tile flooring and mats with foam or rubber tiles. These easy–to–install interlocking floors and mats are made of natural or synthetic rubber floor tiles or high–density Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) foam flooring tiles. EVA interlocking foam floor tiles are non–toxic and PVC, lead, and latex free, making them an allergy friendly flooring choice.

Many applications for rubber flooring: Home Gyms, Garages and outdoor areas such as PatiosInterlocking rubber or EVA foam mats are chemical, oil, and weather resistant, shock absorbent, easy to clean, and even add insulation to your home. For these reasons, interlocking floor tiles work great in all areas of the home from bedrooms to basement to bathrooms. Popular applications of interlocking foam or rubber tiles include home gym floors, personal fitness mats, garage flooring, kitchen flooring, and even kid friendly flooring or interlocking puzzle tiles for playrooms, nurseries, and daycare centers. Colorful interlocking puzzle tiles are often imprinted with shapes, numbers, or letters to help your child learn as they play. In addition, interlocking foam and rubber floors and mats offer a surface with good traction, making these interlocking tiles not only kid friendly, but disability friendly for those who use a cane or walker.

From exercise flooring for your home gym to interlocking puzzle tiles to help your child learn their ABC’s and 123’s, interlocking flooring and mats made with foam or rubber tiles are a perfect flooring solution.

I just left a comment on another blog post in this site. It was on the same subject of rubber and foam flooring for the home gym and exercise room. I just need to know where I can get a new rubber gym floor.

Thanks for your help!

Ann I just put in vinyl flooring in my kitchen and I didnt know where to find it either. go to the manufacturers page on this site and you'll find a bunch of businesses that carry rubber, vinyl, hardwood, bamboo, anything you need. check that first its just easier

Going to redo the basement.. Need to know if there is any reason to use Rubber tile vs Foam tile. No kids, just adults down there on occasion. will have some minimal exercise equipment. thanks

Kathryn, I think either would work fine depending on your style preference and what you find available. I would personally do foam tiles because I have seen some really nice interlocking foam tiles that have a wood grain surface. Hope that helps.

Hi there,

Will either rubber or EVA foam flooring placed on hardwood floors for a home gym cause discoloration in the hardwood? Which is a better alternative?

I'd like to purchase interlocking tiles for a home gym where I have an elliptical and weights, but don't want my hardwood floors to discolor from the tiles being unbreathable, etc.

Any info is appreciated!

Thanks!
Jennie
