If you are looking for do–it–yourself friendly laminate floors, Shaw’s glueless laminate flooring is a great choice.

Forget the time consuming process of applying glue, waiting hours for the adhesive to dry, and dealing with the smell, potential health hazards, and the mess that goes with working with laminate adhesives. Shaw’s glueless laminate flooring eliminates the need for the laminate planks or strips to be individually affixed to the subfloor beneath. By using a floating flooring installation that requires no use of glue, savvy DIYers can now choose to self–install their laminate floors to save on installation costs. Here’s how Shaw’s glueless laminate floors work:

Shaw Industries offers two unique locking systems: VersaLock®AG™ and LocNPlace®. Both of these laminate floor mechanisms simply snap together, locking in place, and creating a secure, tight fit.

With your Shaw glueless laminate flooring purchase you will receive an installation manual that covers each aspect of the installation process including how to properly acclimate your laminate flooring, prepare your subfloor, install your underlayment, and install the laminate itself. This handy DIY guide also walks you through installing Shaw glueless laminate flooring on stairs, in doorways, and around fixtures such as pipes and other immovable objects. With Shaw’s glueless laminate flooring designs, installing laminate floors has never been easier.

How does the shaw glueless laminate locking system compare to the lock n fold or valinge locking system starting to being offered by some of the other manufacturers. Doesn't shaw's still have to use a tapping block?

It is very important to be able to differentiate the difference between various types of Laminate Flooring. This will not only save you a lot of money but it will also enable you to invest more properly into your home.
