The Right Laminate Floors For Every Room

One of the most appealing features of laminate flooring is the number of different styles it's available in. Laminate floors can offer the look of wood, marble, tile, stone, and more, making laminate flooring a great choice for any room in the home. Here are three common types of laminate floors and where in your house they might fit.

  • Wood: This variety of laminate flooring is popular for any room of the house, and for good reason! Wood floors bring a natural warmth to the home, and laminate flooring offers that warmth without the high maintenance of wood. That makes it great for kitchens, bedrooms, studies, and hallways, and anywhere else you'd like a classically beautiful look.
  • Stone: The look of natural stone is one that's both simple and elegant, and you can get that elegance without the high cost with laminate flooring. Slate laminate floors bring a sleek, modern feel to kitchens and bathrooms.
  • Marble: Great for adding a little class to a front hall or entryway, marble laminate flooring is also sturdy enough to handle high traffic areas like these. Try a white marble pattern for bright, well–lit areas of the home, and black marble laminate flooring to bring a cozy feel to the master bathroom.

Hayley- Not sure if you have checked your posting but laminate flooring is not recommended for basement remodeling. Sometimes basements can get caught with water and laminate can expand and shrink when water sits on it. This is one major reason that retailers and manufacturers will never recommend a laminate floor installation in a bathroom. Laminate is better for dens, bedrooms, areas in that relation. I'm not sure whether or not you went through with the installation but I hope your laminate is doing ok in your basement if you installed it.

Wood laminate flooring couldn't look better anywhere else but my kitchen. I have been bothering my hubby to revamp the kitchen for quit some time now... it's small so he surprised me one day and it was there! New kitchen appliances and wall color swatches ready for me to choose from. thanks to laminate flooring and its cost effective friendlyness! :)

I love my laminate floor. I always hated laminate flooring because of the clicking sound it would make but I found the best product recommended by my local flooring retailer (thanks Jason) We installed the FloorMuffler which must be the best underlayment for laminate floors because I can't hear any clicking.
