Lauzon Distinctive Hardwood Flooring, Inc. was founded in 1985 and is based in Papineauville, Canada. In the early years
it concentrated solely on the manufacture of premium hardwood flooring. Lauzon is reputed to be a leader in the premium
hardwood flooring industry with its commitment to environmentally–friendly, state–of–the–art flooring
products. Lauzon has been converting wood waste to energy for almost 15 years. The company has grown to over 10 plants
employing 1100 people.
All Lauzon's hardwood products are treated with a finish of 8 coats of a special Polynium and Titanium polymerized surface
coating that substantially enhances the wear–resistance of the hardwood flooring. This innovation is free of
formaldehyde, VOCs and solvents. The company offers a 25 year warranty on all its flooring products.
In 1999 the company diversified into engineered hardwood flooring using an exclusive milling process for maximum
durability. In 2002 the company developed a Sunshield treatment that slowed the rate of yellowing of hardwood floors. With
these treatments, the Lauzon quickly made a name for themselves as a leader in the flooring industry with products that were
durable and wear–resistant with increased color integrity.
Lauzon's Classics Collection is 3/4" prefinished hardwood flooring that is available in three unique looks and a
wide variety of colors.
The Next Step Collection is fusion engineered flooring that combines the elegance of sawn hardwood with the precision of
milled technology. It is easier to install than traditional engineered hardwood and has greater stability especially in humid
conditions. Engineered wood of this collection can be glued, nailed, stapled or retained as a floating floor.
