I recently decided that my home office needed a complete remodel. I had no idea at the time that the virtual room designers would play such a huge role in this remodeling project.

I was fed up with the drab dark burgundy carpets in my home office, the peeling wallpaper, the terribly outdated furniture and pretty much every other part of it. I started searching online for ideas for my new home office and I found several virtual room designers.

I noticed right away that each virtual room designer was slightly different in some way. One of my favorite virtual room designers is Shaw’s “Try on a Floor” tool. This online room design tool allows users to upload a photo of their actual room and try on different floor coverings as well as paint colors in their home office, or other uploaded rooms. If you prefer, you can also select from sample rooms to design.

I also love the Virtual Room Designer tool here on FindAnyFloor.com. They allow you to select sample rooms with the style of your choice and customize flooring, wall and trim paint, furniture and cabinet colors, and more. This tool is quick and easy to use and helps you get a general idea of what your style really is.

With all of the great virtual room designers available for free online, it was easy for me to figure out exactly what I wanted and to get my home office remodel right the first time.
