Mohawk® Industries LogoWhen I say the word Scotchgard™, you most likely think of Scotchgard™ Fabric and Upholstery Protector or Scotchgard™ Carpet and Rug Protector. Chances are, you don’t think of Scotchgard™ being used on hard surfaces, such as hardwood flooring. However, Mohawk Flooring has done just that. Scotchgard™ Protector Advanced Repel Technology is a special hardwood finish being used on Mohawk’s hardwood flooring to protect your hardwood floors around the clock.

Scotchgard™ Protector by 3MBy reducing soil buildup, grime is easily wiped away, without leaving a trace behind. In addition, permanent marker, nail polish, and even paint, which would be a stain removal nightmare with most hardwoods floors, will easily wipe clean using a soft cloth. Not only will Scotchgard™ protect hardwood floors from stains, but your floors will actually stay clean longer with Scotchgard™ Protector Advanced Repel Technology. Mohawk Industries is so confident in their Scotchgard™ Protector Advanced Repel Technology finish, that they offer a 25-year warranty on every hardwood floor with this Scotchgard™ finish.

Next time your kid goes wild with the permanent markers or your dog knocks over a can of paint, you can rest assured that your Mohawk hardwood floors with Scotchgard™ Protector Advanced Repel Technology will be protected.

I never knew that Scotchgard could be used on hardwood floors. Mohawk has really made huge accomplishments from the other new technologies they have come up with like their carpet too. Now if your hardwood floors come already protected from spills what about re-sealing it? How long until you have to Scotchgard it again? Does it stay that way forever? great blog. thanks for the info!

Thanks for your comment. The Scotchgard is actually built into the finish and lasts the lifetime of the hardwood floor, so no reapplying is needed. Mohawk even offers a warranty of up to 25 years on hardwood with the Scotchgard finish.

Brilliant. There seems to be a buzz about Mohawk and all these products ever since I started shopping around for some home-improvement tips. very good info. The sun just started to come out a little and I am thinking of taking out my old carpet and replacing them with hardwood floors. I'm really into this Scotchgaurd protection on hardwood flooring that Mohawk is providing. I never knew it could be used on hardwood flooring. Thanks for the information, Ill keep it in mind for my spring flooring project.

Can this product be used if the floors have been finished w/ Danish Oil?? Thanks.

Scotchguard finish is put on every one of Mohawk's hardwood flooring products now. About 2 years ago they put out just a scotchguard line and it went so well they now offer it on every hardwood product they sell.
