Floor Plan Measurements

When installing new flooring, it's best to lay out your floor plans so that you have an accurate estimate of the amount of flooring that will be needed to cover the area. With FindAnyFloor's Quick Click Floor Estimator, taking floor plan measurements has never been easier.

Whether you are installing hardwood, bamboo, carpet, cork, laminate, or any other flooring available, this free tool allows you to select your room's basic shape and then tailor it to your room's measurements down to the inch. Using customizable shapes with click and drag arrows, you can add in non-flooring areas such as counters, bathtubs, islands, and more. Once your room has been laid out, the tool has a flooring calculator that calculates the estimated square footage of flooring that you need to purchase to cover the intended area. The floor estimate also includes a recommended waste factor of 10% which can be adjusted at your discretion.

If you know the price per square foot of the flooring that you intend to purchase, simply type it in and the tool will calculate the cost of your flooring materials for you. Once you have your floor plan measurements and calculated costs, you are able to name the project, select the room of installation, and the type of flooring that will be installed in the room for easy reference in the future. The estimate can then be printed or emailed to you so that you can have it on hand when shopping for your new flooring.

So, what are you waiting for? Get started on your floor plan measurements today and you could have beautiful new floors within the week. For additional help on installing a certain floor type in your home, you can also check out FindAnyFloor.com's new Floortube site. Floortube feature videos on everything from flooring installation to tips on green flooring and more.
