We have recently received some questions about the importance of choosing a Certified Floorcovering Installer (CFI
Installer). A CFI Installer has completed appropriate floor installation training and testing and has signed an agreement
stating that they will adhere to the CFI standards as well as the manufacturer's flooring installation recommendations. When
hiring a CFI installer, you can also rest assured that your flooring installer will guarantee their work and return to your
home or business should a problem occur with the floor after installation. In addition, CFI installers are also trained to
leave your floor clean and looking its best after installation in order to showcase the floor's beauty.
Floor installers with at least 2 years of experience can qualify for CFI Residential I and Commercial I ratings while
those with at least 4 years of experience can qualify for Residential II and Commercial II ratings. Flooring installers with
the CFI Master and Master II ratings can also hand-sew woven and other delicate carpets. Though all qualified flooring
installers are not necessarily CFI certified, it is a clear indication of a professional floor installer that takes his or
her work seriously.
