Example room setting with Cork Flooring
from WE CorkWE Cork offers beautiful, innovative cork flooring in cork floor tiles and cork floor planks as well as cork sheets and rolls. WE Cork flooring is an excellent green flooring choice as it is made of the renewable resource, cork, which comes from the bark of the cork oak tree. WE Cork is harvested without harming the cork oak and then regenerates to be harvested again every nine years. In addition to being eco–friendly, WE Cork flooring is also durable and resistant to water and fire. Cork flooring is also resilient, soft underfoot, and easy to clean. For all of these reasons and more, WE Cork is a pet friendly, allergy friendly, and kid friendly flooring choice.

WE Cork is available in glue–less floating cork installations, as well as glue–down cork installations. In addition to offering cork flooring, WE Cork also offers cork flooring underlayments, expansion joints, and corkboard insulation. I really like cork flooring more so with the fact that it requires no glue. I can put my floors in a walk around on them right after. sweep up the floor and actually feel clean too. I like cork floors because they come in tons of varieties. These types of flooring are becoming more and more popular. I would recommend them to anyone. I didn't get my cork from WE Cork, I got mine from Eco Timber but I can bet the WE Cork does just as good of a job.

To Brenda, I'm not sure EcoTimber carries cork. You may have gotten it mixed up just so you know for your reference! I know that EcoTimber carries Bamboo and Hardwood but cork? It is Eco"friendly" maybe that's what you meant.EcoCORK may be your floor. For your knowledge because you may want to reference your installation or manufacturer guide for caring for the cork floor. Very important to know what kind of cork floors you have and more importantly the manufacturer warranty and cleaning recommendations .

*Wicanders is a good brand too... they've been around for ages just like WE Cork and you can find it at ifloor.com. its a great cork material. Both of these companies have been around for a really long time so they have both built good reputations for their products. I recommend both (I have cork in my girls' playrooms-bought from ifloor.com and they are wonderful) - very easy to keep clean.* Hope you all go *^Green^*

EcoFriendlyMama - I agree, I like your name too! I like Wicanders too but what if ifloor.com goes bankrupt again? I do NOT want to have something happen to my floor an then not be able to find it. That would SUCK! I would probably go with a cork floor that is more commercial and not just in a few places because I know people had problems when ifloor.com went bye bye. But now that they're back up lets keep our fingers crossed they do have great prices and tons of flooring options so... whatcha gonna do right?*?*?*

I love Cork floors! jsut had them installed in my bedroom and they look wonderful! I am a little worried about my bed imprinting into the cork floors but Im sure a pad or felt bottom to cover each leg will do just fine. Anyone have the same issue? I dont want to ruin my floors if I can avoid it at all costs! thanks for any feedback.

Be sure you use protectors beneath your legs on the bed and in most cases the cork will recover if the bed is moved as this is one of the great benifits of cork!
