Carpet Estimator – A Floor Calculator for the Do It Yourself Project

Estimating the right amount of carpet needed to complete your carpet installation is easy, that is, when your room is completely square or rectangle. Irregular shaped rooms or rooms with angled walls or intruding corners are more difficult to estimate than simply multiplying length by width. In order to measure the amount of carpet needed in your room easily and efficiently, whatever shape it may be, FindAnyFloor.com has created the Quick Click Floor Estimator available on the online tools page in the carpet section. This easy to use floor calculator uses "click and drag" tools which allow you to design your room's shape including angles, intrusions, and other unique characteristics.

Once you have your room graphed out using the room design tools, this handy tool estimates your needed carpet square footage and even adds in the recommended waste factor. From this point, you can simply enter the price per square foot that your retailer or installer has quoted you to calculate your estimated flooring project cost. The Quick Click Floor Estimator Tool also allows you to easily print or email your flooring estimate. In addition, you can do this for several different rooms and name each project for easy identification.

With this flooring calculator, it's never been so easy to measure and estimate the amount of carpet needed to cover your space. If you need assistance using the carpet estimating tool, use FindAnyFloor's Live Chat feature at the top of every page to connect with a flooring professional and get a guided tour.
