Beaulieu of America was founded in 1978 and was the first in America flooring company to produce polypropylene oriental
rugs. It reached further heights in 1981 becoming the first American manufacturer in the carpet and rug industry to produce
its own yarn. With burgeoning growth, in 1984 the company diversified into tufting carpet, establishing a factory in
Chatsworth, Georgia named Beaulieu Commercial.
Beaulieu went on from strength to strength setting up new plants at home and simultaneously acquiring other carpet
companies in Canada and Australia.
In 2002 the company made a decision to concentrate strictly on broadloom carpets to manufacture the best quality,
affordable broadloom carpet.
In 2007 Beaulieu introduced the Bliss range of carpets, an innovation in the carpet industry. Its unique technology was
that every fiber – made from recycled polyester – had embedded in it silver and copper ions to inhibit bacteria
and contain the formation of mold and mildew. The Silver Release, anti-microbial technology as it is known, ensured the home
remained cleaner and fresher throughout the life of the carpet. The carpet was also subjected to a self–renewing,
odor–destroying treatment.
Beaulieu's extensive Coronet carpet selection incorporates cut pile saxonies and oleofin berbers treated with a solution of dyed
nylon. Coronet carpets are known for exceptional durability and stain resistance.
Beaulieu's Hollytex Stainmaster carpet has a wide array of styles suitable for both commercial and residential
applications. They are particularly known to oppose wear and stains in high–traffic areas.
